Why I Started This Journal

At 29, living and working in Yokohama, Japan, I decided it was time to create a central place to document my professional journey. As a project controller in consulting, I’ve spent years handling data analysis, KYC system implementations, requirements gathering, and PMO coordination at leading firms. From my university studies in Japan (majoring in Japanese language on scholarship) to building 5+ years of IT/consulting experience, these milestones deserve a home.

This site is my portfolio of achievements—like certifications I’m pursuing (CAPM next), key projects delivered, and lessons from transitioning toward business analysis roles I enjoy most. It’s also a journal for reflections on career growth, lifelong learning, and thriving as a professional in Japan.

Why now? A personal website gives me control over my online presence, making it easy for recruiters, professors, or collaborators to see my story at a glance. No more scattered LinkedIn updates or CVs—everything curated here.

Expect weekly posts: project breakdowns, study notes, and thoughts on work-life balance in consulting. Join me on this path.

Thanks for visiting,

Kyaw Myo Aung
